The Radical Aesthete

Some projects refuse to align with the concept of beginnings and ends. Sometimes you feel like you’ve already started – other times, you’re painfully aware that a certain goal post will always remain in motion, perpetually ducking beyond a golden horizon of sorts.

And there you stay, looking at this perpetual sunset, both already en route and miles away from taking – let alone planning! – your first steps towards it.

This project was born out of one of those moments, conceived both as a magnum opus, an ongoing collaboration, a series of journal entries documenting small journeys, and, above all, an idea that takes on a life of its own, growing, organically, into shapes yet to be dreamed of.

The Radical Aesthete is a colony of ideas – a web of interlocking, even interacting, creative and intellectual projects that enter into a state of ferment, to re-emerge, eventually, as a strange brew of sorts. Its effects yet to be determined, perhaps closest to those of a pharmakon, all are invited to partake in this journey through the realms of art, philosophy, culture, and politics, and engage in a world-building game of thinking and re-thinking the intricate constellations that once were, that still are, and those that are yet to arrive.
